An undead soldier<\/strong> who was rejected by his family<\/strong> after his death<\/strong>. He was given a high-ranking position in the military by his father, despite not being qualified<\/strong> for it. As a result, he gave orders that led to the undeath of himself and his entire unit<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>

He puts a lot of effort into not looking dead because he is scared of repelling others<\/strong>\/being looked down on<\/strong>.<\/p>

He receives the task of looking for a saviour figure<\/strong> by the name of “Daecii” who is said to possess the power to cure death<\/strong>. Lev believes that being cured from his state of Undeath will force his family<\/strong> to accept him<\/strong> and that everything will go back to the way things were.<\/strong><\/p>

A young woman who was crafted from the dead flesh of a god.<\/span><\/p>

Her sole purpose<\/strong> is to use her god-given powers to cure death<\/strong> but she has not made any progress<\/strong> so far and is slowly crumbling<\/strong> under the pressure<\/strong>. No one can know she is failing, so she suffers in silence.<\/span><\/p>

She resides in a mansion and uses its basement to conduct experiments<\/strong> on dead townspeople, hoping that she is gonna have a breakthrough moment and will be able to fulfill her role as a saviour<\/strong>.<\/p>

Paavo was born at the very root of the tree and had to work hard<\/strong> to get where he is. As a result, he despises people who get everything handed to them.<\/span><\/p>

When everything falls apart, he is usually the first person people turn to.<\/p>

A young girl who died<\/strong> during a military raid<\/strong> of her family home. Like many townspeople, she harbours extremely negative feelings towards the military. Unlike Lev, she does not think Undeath is anything to fear<\/strong>. She embraces her rotting state<\/strong> and openly encourages others to do the same.<\/span><\/p>

In the game, her function is to be a mirror to Lev. Where Lev believes in being saved and going back to how things were, Mutilator embraces ambiguity<\/strong> and believes life is worth living, even if you’re rotting.<\/p>

When Mutilator lost her parents in an assassination that was carried out by a member of the military, he took her in and has become something of a big brother<\/strong> to her. He is fiercely loyal<\/strong> to Mutilator and admires her anger and drive to change things for the better.<\/p>\n

In the game his function is to show Lev (by caring about Mutilator) that he is worthy of affection and companionship despite being dead. He exclusively appears in scenes with Mutilator.<\/p>\n

A master of mystery and so very suave! No information is safe from this handsome fellow!<\/p>\n

Or so Edmund likes to think. He is actually pretty terrible at his job. If it wasn\u2019t for his uncanny ability to be in the right place at the right time, he never would have amounted to anything.<\/p>\n

Through nothing but sheer luck, Edmund rose up in the ranks, becoming one of the most well-known spies on the Tree.<\/p>\n

…Although being well-known is not a good quality for a spy to have.<\/p>\n
